The completed engine and gearbox ready for re-installation into the chassis.  This unorthodox approach requires the steering box and column to be released from the chassis, which is quicker than attaching the gearbox in situ.

Nearside view of the engine.  It is important to ensure that all bulkhead pipework is in place and attached before fitting the engine as there is precious little clearance between the two.

The gear lever extension can be fitted only after the box is installed.  All pipework, brake connections and, in this case, overdrive and electrics were then &reconnected.
