R-R PIII - water pump rear Rear view of the water pump; top to the right.  The threaded union connects to the pipe feeding the inlet manifold jacket.  The large brass tap is for the heater feed in the rear compartment of the car.

R-R PIII - water pump inlet Viewed from the engine-side and showing the mounting block.  Note the untidy repair on the outlet pipe.  Despite its appearance the pump worked very well and did not leak.
R-R PIII - water pump cracks The rear casting flange with its cracks highlighted at 'A'.  These cracks extend pretty much all the way round the pump circumference and are filled with instant gasket.  Any attempt to part the two halves will destroy the whole unit - time to find a replacement.
